Celebrating Samhain: MCP Marketing and the Magic of Púca Festival

Every Halloween, County Meath transforms into a realm of fire, folklore and festivity as the Púca Festival lights up the ancient landscape of Trim and Athboy. Steeped in myth and rooted in tradition, this extraordinary celebration honours Samhain, the Celtic New Year and the true origin of Halloween, through music, spectacle, storytelling and ceremony.

Developed by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Meath County Council, and delivered with artistic vision by MPI Artists, Púca invites visitors to step into another realm and reconnect with the rituals, symbols and stories of our ancestors.

MCP Marketing: Proud Partner Since 2022

MCP Marketing has proudly partnered with MPI Artists and the Púca Festival since 2022, when we first led the domestic marketing campaign. That year, the festival had a KPI of 15,000 welcomed over 36,000 attendees, and we’ve been honoured to support its continued growth ever since.

Each year, we’ve worked closely with the festival directors, Failte Ireland and key stakeholders to deliver high-impact marketing strategies across digital, social, print and event promotion, all designed to build the Púca Festival brand and attract audiences across Ireland. From artist-led campaigns to regional promotions and radio campaigns to ticket competitions, our work has helped drive festival attendance to over 49,000 in 2024, with exceptional year-on-year results.

New for 2025: Expanding Internationally

Now, as we approach Púca 2025, MCP Marketing is delighted to expand our role further. This year, we will also lead International Sales for the festival, supporting its growing profile as a must-visit cultural event on the global stage.

This expanded remit includes developing overseas partnerships, group travel promotions, and new outreach to audiences eager to experience Ireland’s deep-rooted connection to Samhain and Halloween. We’re excited to play our part in welcoming even more international visitors to Ireland’s Ancient East this autumn.

It’s an absolute privilege to work alongside the team at MPI Artists and our incredible partners Failte Ireland, Meath County Council, Ireland’s Ancient East, Harris PR, Smart Sustainable, 360 Events, Set the Stage and so many more incredible team members to bring the Púca Festival to life.

Púca 2025: Connecting with Our Roots

This year’s theme, “Connecting with Our Roots”, invites audiences to reflect on their connection to land, memory, and tradition — a timely celebration as we honour Samhain, the turning of the seasons, and the stories that shaped us.

With show-stopping performances by acts like The 2 Johnnies, Block Rockin Beats, Groove Armada, Kíla, Qween and the Dublin Gospel Choir, Davina Devine, Blindboy, Jason Byrne and lots more, Púca 2025 will once again be a rich tapestry of myth, music, magic and mischief.

Whether you’re joining from nearby or from across the world, Púca Festival invites you to experience Samhain where it all began.
